LogSim contains a powerful editor, which is tailor made for this special purpose. The logic gates and other elements (inputs, outputs, timers, flip-flops, etc.) are dragged from a toolbox to the drawing, the logical signal connections are established by one mouse movement.
The drawing remains flexible: the elements can be moved, the existing connections follow them. The connecting lines can be shaped in every desired shape in order to achieve neat and clear schematics.
Besides the standard editing functions (move, cut, copy, paste of groups of elements), new elements can be inserted into existing lines, groups of elements can be defined as macros, saved on the disk and inserted in other drawings. Two unique identifications can be assigned to all elements, on the one hand to make the schematics easily to understand, on the other hand for fast orientation on the worksheet.
Remarks and other texts can be applied everywhere on the drawings.
If LogSim is used together with , then TAG numbers can be directly selected from the INtools database.

The worksheet is about 10m2, the visible part can be moved by scrollbars. Three zoom positions are available; zooming to a defined point is possible. Different search functions make fast and efficient navigation possible.
